Domaine Lignier Michelot Gevrey Chambertin "Cuvee Bertin" 2021, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (average over 60 years) in several village-level parcels in Brochon and Gevrey-Chambertin on clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified with 80% whole clusters including short cold maceration and no punch-downs, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic completed. Aged 18-20 months in oak barrels using around 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show red cherry and cranberry along with violet and cool earth notes. The palate delivers medium body and precision with fine tannic structure and bright acidity. Overall impression is one of elegant tension and persistent clarity reflecting the fresh vintage character.
