Domaine Lignier Michelot Morey Saint Denis V.V. 2022, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1955-1965, totaling around 1.2ha) in village-level parcels including En Seuvrey and Les Larrets on clay-limestone soils in Morey-Saint-Denis. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified with 80% whole clusters including short cold maceration and no punch-downs, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic completed. Aged 18-20 months in oak barrels using around 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show dark cherry and black raspberry along with violet and subtle spice notes. The palate delivers medium to full body and concentration with fine tannic structure and lively acidity. Overall impression is one of elegant power and seamless persistence reflecting the ripe yet fresh vintage character in Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir.
