Kavalan Solist Fino Sherry Single Cask is a single malt whisky from Taiwan, matured exclusively in Spanish Fino sherry butts and bottled at cask strength, typically between 50% and 59.9% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and bottled without added colour. This expression is part of Kavalan’s Solist series, first introduced in 2009, and has earned multiple accolades including Best World Whisky and Best Single Malt Whisky at the 2025 International Whisky Competition.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, the whisky opens with creamy toffee, rich fudge, and a hint of chocolate, followed by mango, ripe citrus, and green apple. The palate is sweet and layered, showing salted caramel, honey, and tropical fruit, with a touch of smoked wood. The finish is long and rounded, with lingering spice and fruit depth. This bottling offers a complex and elegant profile shaped by rare Fino sherry cask maturation and Kavalan’s tropical ageing conditions.
