Graham's "Quinta dos Malvedos" Vintage Port 2018, 750ml

Sourced exclusively from Graham's flagship estate, Quinta dos Malvedos, located on the north bank of the Douro River in a transition zone between the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior subregions. Planted on steep, south-facing schist slopes, the vines endured a turbulent 2018 season—a wet spring provided essential water reserves that allowed the grapes to mature through intense late-summer heatwaves. Composed of 50% Touriga Franca, 30% Touriga Nacional, 10% Sousão, and 10% Alicante Bouschet, the fruit underwent traditional fermentation in modern lagares before aging in oak for 18-24 months.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with intense aromas of midnight-black fruit, ripe blackberry, mulberry, and dark plum, interwoven with signature notes of eucalyptus, fresh mint, dark chocolate, and candied citrus peel. The palate is rich, velvety, and concentrated, delivering a dense core of black fruit framed by firm, finely meshed tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, persistent, and structured, closing on lingering cocoa, resin, and slatey mineral nuances.
