Kavalan Solist Peated (HK Exclusive), 700ml

This is a special release within the Solist Series, specifically bottled as a Hong Kong Exclusive. Produced using heavily peated malted barley and distilled in traditional Scottish copper pot stills, the spirit is matured in ex-bourbon oak casks. This bottling is a single cask strength single malt whisky with an alcohol by volume of 55.6%.

Tasting Note:

Aroma: Intense peat smoke and charcoal set the foundation, quickly opening into Kavalan's signature tropical fruit profile of grilled pineapple and ripe mango. These notes are supported by a rich sweetness of honey, toffee, and a distinct hint of beeswax.

Palate: Complex and bold with a concentrated smokiness balanced by dark chocolate and dried fruits. The mid-palate reveals layers of nutty oak, vanilla, and a touch of savory earthiness.

Finish: The texture is oily and robust, leading into a long finish of lingering campfire smoke, refined wood spice, and a persistent tropical fruit sweetness.
