Domaine Francois Carillon Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Combettes" 2022, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from a 0.80-hectare parcel in the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Combettes, situated near the Meursault border on clay-limestone soils. The grapes were carefully sorted, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels (25% new oak). The wine aged on its fine lees in barrels for 12 months before resting in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of white peach, Anjou pear, honeysuckle, toasted hazelnut, and subtle butter. The palate is rich, full-bodied, and generous, offering dense yellow stone fruit and citrus flavors balanced by a creamy texture and driving acidity. The finish is long, structured, and persistent, leaving saline mineral notes and soft spices.
