Domaine Francois Carillon Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Les Murgers des Dents de Chien" 2022, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from a 0.75-hectare parcel in the 1er Cru vineyard of Les Murgers des Dents de Chien, situated on steep, stony slopes with white limestone-rich soils. The grapes were gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels (20% new oak). The wine aged on its fine lees in barrels for 12 months before resting in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of lemon zest, fresh pear, white flowers, and crushed stone minerality, complemented by a subtle smoky note. The palate is focused, medium-bodied, and vibrant, offering crisp orchard fruit flavors balanced by fresh acidity, fine mineral tension, and a succulent texture. The finish is long, dry, and structured, ending on a crisp saline and stony mineral note.
