Domaine Rapet Beaune 1er Cru "Greves" 2023, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from a small parcel of over 50-year-old vines in the steep upper part of the Les Grèves climat in Beaune Premier Cru. The vineyard features gravelly and sandy soils (grèves) over limestone, giving excellent drainage. The domaine farms organically with hand-harvested grapes. Vinification includes native yeasts, a portion of whole bunches, and ageing in French oak barrels with a moderate percentage of new oak.

Tasting Note:

The 2023 opens with aromas of ripe raspberry, red cherry, pomegranate, violet, and subtle spice with earthy mineral undertones. The palate is medium to full-bodied with precise red fruit, fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, silky texture, and a long, saline, mineral-driven finish. Balanced and elegant with excellent ageing potential.
