Domaine Perrot Minot Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru 2020, 750ml

Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru 2018 is sourced from a gently sloping parcel in one of the sunniest and earliest-ripening sectors of Gevrey-Chambertin. The vines are over 70 years old, planted on soils composed of white limestone scree with excellent permeability, underlain by a marl-limestone substratum with exposed rock outcrops. Grapes were fully destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, following a cold maceration. The wine was aged for 16–18 months in 20–30% new French oak barrels, without racking, fining, or filtration, and bottled by gravity.

Tasting Note:
Aromas of red cherry, dark fruit, earth and spice on the nose. Elegant yet concentrated attack. Layered fruit on the mid-palate with fine tannins and fresh acidity. The finish shows great length and 15-25 years of ageing potential.
