Domaine Jean Charles Rion Nuits St Georges V.V. 2022, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from old-vine plots (45 to 60+ years old) situated on steep, stony clay-limestone soils in Nuits St Georges. The grapes were fully destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 20% to 30% new oak) for 12 to 15 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with generous aromas of black cherry, dark plum, and redcurrant, accented by notes of subtle forest floor, damp earth, and light oak spice. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied and fleshy, presenting a solid core of ripe dark fruit supported by firm, structured tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is persistent and classic, closing on earthy, savory, and dark berry notes.
