Domaine Jean Tardy Echezeaux "Les Treux" V.V. Grand Cru 2022, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from old vines planted in 1937 in the Les Treux climats, situated within the Échezeaux Grand Cru appellation directly below Grands Échezeaux. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (100% new oak) for approximately 18 to 20 months prior to bottling without fining or filtration.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with rich, expressive aromas of ripe black cherry, wild raspberry, sweet Vosne spices, and dark florals, layered with subtle oak integration, graphite, and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied, plush, and structured, offering dense dark red fruit balanced by fine, velvety tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long, harmonious, and refined, leaving persistent notes of dark fruit, spice, and chalky mineral energy.
