Named "Confluent" after the vineyard's location near the historical confluence of the Sèvre and Maine rivers on the L'Aulnaye hillside in Château-Thébaud. Sourced from 20 to 40-year-old organic Melon de Bourgogne vines planted on shallow, well-drained gneiss and schist soils. The grapes were fermented using native yeasts in underground tanks, followed by 6 to 9 months of aging on fine lees with regular bâtonnage (stirring) to build depth while preserving vibrant Atlantic salinity.
Tasting Note:
The wine opens with bright, expressive aromas of green apple, lime zest, and white peach, accompanied by white floral and a pronounced iodized, stony minerality. The palate is dry, energetic, and surprisingly round, balancing a juicy core of citrus with supple texture and mouthwatering acidity. The finish is clean, long, and distinctly saline, leaving a crisp, refreshing impression.
