Domaine Jean Claude Roux Quincy Sauvignon Blanc 2024, 750ml

100% Sauvignon Blanc from approximately 7.5 hectares of vines averaging 30 years old on the ancient alluvial terrace along the Cher river in Quincy. The vineyard features a mix of sand with gravel, sand, and sand with silt soils with southeast exposure. The domaine hand-harvests the grapes and uses traditional vinification with slow pneumatic pressing. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged on fine lees for about 5 months with no oak used.

Tasting Note:

The 2024 opens with aromas of grapefruit, white peach, green apple, lemon zest, and subtle white flowers with mineral and light herbal notes. The palate is vibrant and crisp with bright citrus and stone fruit, lively acidity, saline minerality, and a clean, refreshing, persistent finish. Pure, elegant, and classic Quincy style.
