Jean Baptiste Jessiaume Mercurey Blanc 2023, 750ml

Sourced from sustainably farmed Chardonnay vines planted on steep, east-facing clay-limestone soils in the Mercurey appellation. The grapes are gently pressed to retain aromatic purity and structural tension. Fermemted with indigenous yeasts in a combination of stainless steel vats and French oak barrels. The wine matures for 10 to 12 months on fine lees in French oak barrels (15% new oak, 85% neutral barrels) with light bâtonnage before gentle fining and bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of golden apple, white peach, and lemon peel, acacia flower, subtle hazelnut, and stony minerality. The palate is dry, medium-to-full-bodied, and structured, featuring a core of stone fruit and citrus balanced by vibrant, laser-focused acidity and a creamy, mouth-coating texture. The finish is long, clean, and chalky.
