Domaine de Belliviere "Les Roisiers" Blanc 2022, 750ml

"Les Rosiers" is a 100% Chenin Blanc sourced from Bellivière's younger Jasnières vines, spanning 24 parcels over 5 hectares. The vines grow on flinty clay soils enriched with tuffeau (soft limestone) and are certified biodynamic, harvested by hand.

The grapes are direct-pressed into a tank, where the juice settles overnight before being transferred by gravity into barrels for fermentation using native yeasts and minimal sulfur. The wine is aged for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, mostly 1-3 years old, with a small proportion of new barrels each year.

Bellivière Chenins typically retain some residual sugar, as the family allows fermentation to finish naturally. 2021 vintage was bottled with 20g/l of residual sugar.

Tasting Note:

The 2022 opens with aromas of ripe pear, quince, white peach, lemon, white flowers, and subtle honey with mineral undertones. The palate is vibrant and textured with bright orchard fruit, lively acidity balanced by a touch of richness, saline minerality, and a long, refreshing, harmonious finish. Fruit-forward, elegant, and full of energy.
