Chateau Magdelaine 2005, 750ml

This blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc is sourced from 11 hectares of limestone plateau and clay-limestone hillside plots in Saint-Émilion. The fruit was sorted and fermented in concrete and stainless steel vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (50% new oak) for 18 months prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of fresh dark cherries, wild plum, crushed stone, dried roses, and subtle licorice open on the nose. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied and structured, displaying vibrant red and dark fruit flavors supported by fine, firm tannins and a bright mineral drive. The finish is clean, long, and dry, with notes of earth and subtle spice.
