Springbank 10 Year Old Fino Sherry, 700ml

This is a special limited release from the Springbank Distillery, forming part of a series that explores the influence of various sherry treatments on the distillery’s 2.5 times distilled spirit. Produced using lightly peated malt that is floor-malted on-site, the whisky was matured for 10 years, including a specific aging period in Fino sherry casks. The distillery utilizes water from Crosshill Loch and maintains a completely traditional production process within its Campbeltown facility. This bottling is a cask strength single malt whisky with an alcohol by volume of 55%.

Tasting Note:

Aroma: Bright and zesty with initial notes of green apple and citrus peel balanced by a distinct maritime saltiness. These are followed by scents of toasted almonds, dried grass, and a characteristic hint of earthy peat smoke.

Palate: Sharp and savory with flavors of salted honeycomb and lemon curd integrated with a delicate nuttiness. The mid-palate reveals a dry, mineral quality and layers of oily malt and ginger spice.

Finish: The texture is crisp and leads into a finish of lingering saline notes, dry oak tannins, and a persistent, clean smoke that reflects the Fino cask influence.
