100% Pinot Noir from centenarian vines in the La Richemone 1er Cru vineyard. Organic Certified. Grapes were hand-harvested, rigorously sorted, and vinified with partial whole cluster inclusion (approximately 30–40%), depending on ripeness. Fermentation was carried out with native yeasts, and the wine was aged for about 18 months in French oak barrels, with 20–25% new oak, carefully balanced to preserve purity and terroir transparency. The “Cuvée Ultra” designation reflects Perrot-Minot’s most meticulous selection, made from the domaine’s oldest vines in this site.
Tasting Note:
The 2022 La Richemone Cuvée Ultra is deeply colored, with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, violets, and exotic spice, layered with mineral notes of graphite and crushed stone. The palate is powerful and concentrated, with dense fruit, firm acidity, and finely structured tannins. A long, mineral-driven finish underscores precision and age-worthiness, with whole cluster inclusion adding aromatic lift and complexity.
