Ca' del Baio Barbaresco "Asili" 2023, 750ml

This 100% Nebbiolo is sourced from the Asili Cru in Barbaresco, a vineyard characterized by blue-grey calcareous marl and silt soils. The grapes were hand-harvested and de-stemmed before fermentation began in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using skin contact for 30 days. The wine was aged for 24 months in a combination of large Slavonian oak casks and used French oak tonneaux. It was bottled and remained in the cellar for an additional 6 months before release.

Tasting Note:

The nose is defined by aromas of crushed raspberries, dried roses, and subtle forest floor. The palate features a medium body with firm, silky tannins and a vibrant line of acidity. The finish is long and persistent with notes of licorice and spice.
