Longrow 100 Proof Peated, 700ml

Produced using heavily peated malt (approximately 50–55 PPM) and double distilled in traditional copper pot stills, the spirit is matured for almost 4 years in refill bourbon casks followed by over 2 years in refill Pinot Noir red wine casks. The distillery utilizes water from Crosshill Loch and handles all floor-malting on-site. This expression is bottled at 100 proof (British standard), which corresponds to 57.1% alcohol by volume.

Tasting Note:

Aroma: Medicinal peat smoke and TCP notes open into sweet redcurrants and Madagascan vanilla. These are complemented by ashy undertones and subtle savory hints of tiger prawns and peppercorns.

Palate: Earthy and musty peat smoke builds on the palate, balanced by crème brûlée, toasted almonds, and dark fruits. The profile develops further with notes of tobacco, leather, and a rich, oily mouthfeel.

Finish: The texture is robust and leads into a finish of red cola cubes, strawberry laces, and marzipan. The conclusion features a lingering spiciness of chili peppers, cherry menthol, and persistent, balanced smoke.
