Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, 750ml

Blend of 78.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 5.6% Malbec and 2.2% Cabernet Franc sourced from multiple vineyards throughout Napa Valley. The grapes were hand-harvested and underwent traditional fermentation with extended maceration. The wine was aged for 28 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels (approximately 30% new French oak and a small percentage of new American oak).

Tasting Note:

The 2014 opens with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry, dark chocolate, and warm spice with notes of cedar and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied with rich dark fruit, velvety texture, integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, polished finish with hints of mocha and graphite. Powerful, structured, and built for ageing.
