Domaine Rapet Corton Grand Cru 2023, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from a blend of parcels in the climats of Les Chaumes, Les Combes (also referred to as Voierosses), and related sites in the Corton Grand Cru, with vines averaging around 50 years old on red soil over limestone. The domaine practices classical red winemaking with a brief cold soak followed by maceration, using one third whole bunches, native yeasts, and ageing for around 18 months in French oak barrels with approximately 20-30% new oak.

Tasting Note:

The 2023 opens with aromas of red and black cherry, redcurrant, rose petal, orange zest, and earthy mineral notes with subtle oak spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a fine core of fruit, ripe tannins, bright acidity, chalky minerality, and a long, focused, balanced finish showing both power and elegance with excellent ageing potential.
