Chateau Rollan de By 2016, 750ml

Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats followed by malolactic fermentation in tank for Cabernet Sauvignon and in French oak barrels for Merlot and Petit Verdot. Grapes were destemmed before fermentation. The wine aged for 12 months in 90% new French oak barrels and 10% new American oak barrels with lees stirring for the first 3 months. A blend of 70% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot planted in clay and
gravel soils.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of blackberry, dark fruit, licorice and spice on the nose. Round attack. Concentrated fruit on the mid-palate with supple tannins and fresh acidity. The finish shows good length and 8-12 years of ageing potential.
