Chateau Haut Bages Liberal 2019, 750ml

Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and concrete vats followed by malolactic fermentation in tank and vat. Grapes were destemmed before fermentation. The wine aged for 16 months: 40% new French oak barrels, 40% in one-year-old barrels, and 20% in amphorae. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot planted in Garonne gravels on clay and limestone soils.

Tasting Note:
Aromas of blackcurrant, dark fruit, cedar and graphite on the nose. Firm attack. Concentrated fruit on the mid-palate with structured tannins, and fresh acidity. The finish shows good length and 10-15 years of ageing potential.
