Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey 1er Cru "La Mission" Monopole Blanc 2022, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from the 1.92-hectare monopole vineyard "La Mission," formed by three small plots planted on a hilltop above 1er Cru "Clos du Roi". The site is a mix of compact clay, limestone, and sandy soils with white marl. The fruit was whole-cluster pressed, fermented and aged in traditional 228-liter French oak barrels (15% new oak) for 14 months, followed by 2 months of tank refinement before light filtration and bottling.

Tasting Note:

Complex aromas of white flowers, lemon peel, white peach, and subtle toasted hazelnut. The palate is rich, fresh, and concentrated, displaying mineral-driven stone fruit and citrus flavors with a waxy, textured mouthfeel. The finish is clean, long, and elegant, ending with a fine saline touch.
