Pieropan Calvarino Soave Classico 2024, 750ml

This blend of 70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave is sourced from the Calvarino vineyard, situated in the heart of the Soave Classico zone. The site is characterized by volcanic soils rich in basalt and tuff. The grapes were hand-harvested in two separate passes during September. Following a gentle pressing and destemming, fermentation took place in temperature-controlled glass-lined concrete vats. The wine aged on its fine lees in these same concrete vats for 12 months, avoiding any oak contact to preserve its mineral-driven profile. After the ageing period, the wine stayed in the bottle for 4 months of stabilization before release.

Tasting Note:

The nose is fresh and vertical, featuring aromas of lemon peel, white peach, and Sambucus flowers with a strong flinty undertone. The palate is crisp and linear, showing flavors of green apple and pear supported by a sharp, saline minerality. The finish is long and clean with a characteristic almond-flavored aftertaste.
