Ca' del Baio Barbaresco "Vallegrande" 2023, 750ml

This 100% Nebbiolo is grown in the Vallegrande cru in Treiso on south and west-facing slopes with blue-grey silty-clay marl soils. The grapes were hand-harvested and de-stemmed. Fermentation began in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with a 30-day maceration on the skins. The wine aged for 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks. After ageing, the wine was bottled and stayed in the cellar for 6 months before release.

Tasting Note:

The nose has aromas of ripe forest fruits, violet, and tobacco. The palate has a full body with velvety tannins and balanced acidity. It finishes with notes of spice and dried herbs.
