Blandy's 30 Years Old Bual, 750ml

This 100% Bual is sourced from vineyards on the sunny slopes of Campanário and Estreito da Calheta on Madeira's southern coast. The fruit was hand-harvested and fermented off the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using natural yeasts. Fermentation was stopped after three days through fortification with 96% neutral grape spirit to preserve the medium-sweet natural sugar levels. The wine aged for an average of 30 years in seasoned 650-liter American oak casks under the traditional Canteiro system, followed by six months in a satinwood vat before light filtration and bottling.

Tasting Note:

Exuberant aromas of dried apricot, baked peach, citrus peel, and hazelnut. The palate is rich and creamy with medium sweetness balanced by fresh, persistent acidity and subtle white pepper notes. The finish is long and complex, showing notes of dried fig, clove, and warm savory spice.
