Hartford Court "Four Hearts Vineyards" Chardonnay 2022, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from four high-elevation, old-vine vineyards within the Russian River Valley, characterized by Goldridge sandy loam soils. The grapes were hand-picked and whole-cluster pressed before fermentation began using 100% native yeasts. The wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation while being stirred on its lees (bâtonnage) twice a month to build texture. The wine aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, consisting of 31% new oak and 69% used oak barrels. After the wood ageing was complete, the wine was bottled and stayed in the cellar for 4 months of stabilization before release.

Tasting Note:

The nose has intense aromas of Meyer lemon, white peach, and honeysuckle with subtle toasted brioche notes. The palate is rich and creamy with a dense core of citrus and stone fruit balanced by a bright, refreshing acidity. The finish is long and elegant with hints of clove and mineral salinity.
