Tyrrell's "Vat 1" Semillon 2021, 750ml

Sourced exclusively from dry farmed old vines, including plantings dating back to 1923 in the legendary Short Flat vineyard—planted on sandy alluvial soils in New South Wales' Hunter Valley. The grapes are carefully sorted and gently pressed before fermenting in stainless steel vats using neutral yeasts. The wine sees no oak fermentation or maturation and spends minimal time on lees to preserve absolute varietal purity.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of fresh lemon zest, lime juice, green apple, white peach, and crushed chalky minerality. The palate is dry, light-to-medium-bodied, and linear, with a concentrated core of citrus, grapefruit, a razor-sharp acidity and energetic texture. The finish is long, clean, and intensely flinty, built for remarkable cellaring potential.
