Esporao Monte Velho Tinto 2024, 750ml

A classic Alentejo red made by Herdade do Esporão. Sourced from estate vineyards grown on granite, schist, and clay soils, this wine is a blend of traditional indigenous grapes, mainly Aragonez (Tinta Roriz), Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional. The grapes were destemmed, gently pressed, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. A portion of the blend aged in oak to add structure and subtle complexity while maintaining rich, primary fruit character.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of dark plum, wild blackberry, and ripe red berries, accompanied by notes of fresh herbs, cocoa, and sweet spice. The palate is smooth, medium-bodied, and rounded, offering a juicy core of dark fruit supported by soft tannins and moderate acidity. The finish is clean, balanced, and fruit-forward.
