Travaglini Gattinara 2022, 750ml

Sourced from Estate vineyards (up to 420 meters above sea level) in the Gattinara DOCG. The Nebbiolo vines grow on rocky, iron-rich, acidic soils of volcanic origins. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks for approximately 15 days with gentle cap management. The wine ages for 3 years prior to release, spending 24 months in Slovenian oak casks (plus a small portion in smaller French oak barrels), followed by additional refinement in the bottle. Bottled in the estate's iconic, custom-designed asymmetric bottle created to trap sediment during pouring.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of fresh crushed tart cherry, wild strawberry, pomegranate, dried rose, crushed rock, leather, and subtle baking spices. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, and tightly structured, with a core of red berry fruit, firm tannins, fresh acidity, and a distinct iron-like minerality. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent.
