Domaine Guy Amiot & Fils Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "En Remilly" Blanc 2021
100% Chardonnay from a 0.14-hectare parcel of approximately 20-year-old vines in the En Remilly Premier Cru climat in Saint-Aubin. The vineyard has east-facing exposure on steep slopes with clay-limestone soils. The domaine hand-harvests the grapes, which are gently pressed. The wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels with around 30% new oak for 12 months, then assembled in tank for an additional 6 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The 2021 opens with aromas of lemon, ripe pear, white peach, green apple, white flowers, and subtle hazelnut with mineral and light toasty oak notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied with precise orchard and citrus fruit, creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity, fine minerality, and a long, saline, refreshing finish. Elegant, racy, and built for ageing.
