Domaine Francois Carillon Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Folatieres" 2022, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from a 0.5-hectare parcel of old vines in the 1er Cru Les Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet, planted on stony clay-limestone soils. The grapes were gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts in French oak barrels. The wine aged on its fine lees in barrels for 12 months before resting in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of white peach, quince, and yellow lemon zest, accented by hints of white pepper, smoke, and mineral reduction. The palate is sleek, elegant, and concentrated, offering vibrant white orchard fruit flavors balanced by a powdery texture and a succulent mouthfeel. The finish is long, powerful, and persistent, ending on a stony, mineral note.
