Domaine Rapet Pernand Vergelesses Les Belle Filles 2023, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from the Les Belles Filles climat, a steep east-facing site and northern extension of Île des Vergelesses in Pernand-Vergelesses on red ferruginous clay-limestone soils with limestone banks. The domaine farms organically with hand-harvested grapes. Vinification uses native yeasts with a portion of whole bunches, gentle extraction, and ageing for around 15 months in French oak barrels with about 15-20% new oak.

Tasting Note:

The 2023 opens with aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, and subtle white pepper with earthy mineral and forest floor notes. The palate is light to medium-bodied with bright red fruit, silky tannins, vibrant acidity, fine texture, and a long, refreshing, mineral-driven finish. Elegant, charming, and balanced with excellent ageing potential.
