Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Les St Georges" 2023, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the famed 1er Cru vineyard of Les Saint Georges in Nuits St Georges, planted on deep clay-limestone soils mixed with gravel scree. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 20% to 25% new oak) for 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with deep, expressive aromas of dark red berries, cassis, graphite, and sweet spice, accompanied by hints of gamebird, woodsmoke, and cedar. The palate is dense, full-bodied, and energetic, featuring massive fruit weight and a cushioned texture balanced by fine-grained, structured tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, intense, and deeply mineral, showing impressive depth and classic heart.
