Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Les Pruliers" 2021, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the 1er Cru vineyard of Les Pruliers in Nuits StGeorges, planted on deep clay-limestone soils over gravel scree. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 20% new oak) for 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of dark red berries, plum, and subtle mentholated notes, accompanied by earthy undertones, game, and a hint of spice. The palate is medium-bodied, rich, and highly energetic, presenting sappy fruit flavors grounded by chalky, classic Nuits St Georges tannins and a fresh acidity. The finish is firm, persistent, and rustic, leaving long-lasting notes of dark fruit and crushed mineral energy.
