Domaine Lignier Michelot Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru "Les Chenevery" 2020, 750ml

Sourced from old-vine parcels in the 1er Cru vineyard of Les Chenevery, located directly below Les Faconnières on stony clay-limestone soils, this cuvée features approximately two-thirds whole cluster inclusion for added structure and aromatic lift. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 30% to 40% new oak) for 12 to 15 months prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with intense aromas of black cherry, poached plum, and wild red berries, complemented by notes of violet floral perfume, sweet spices, and a subtle savory stem complexity. The palate is sleek, dense, and energetic, delivering a concentrated core of dark fruit supported by fine-grained, chalky tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, structured, and mineral-driven, ending on a spicy, peppery note.
