Domaine Jean Tardy Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits "Cuvee Maelie" 2021, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from 45- to 60-year-old vines in the village of Concœur, situated in the hills directly above Vosne-Romanée. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 20% new oak) for 12 months before resting in vats prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with lively aromas of fresh red cherry, wild raspberry, and redcurrant, accompanied by subtle floral hints, dried tea, and light forest floor spice. The palate is light-to-medium-bodied, taut, and energetic, showing crunchy red fruit flavors framed by fine, slightly dusty tannins and bright, refreshing acidity. The finish is clean, lean, and crisp, ending on a delicate savory and mineral note.
