Domaine La Terrasse d'Elise "Le Pigeonnier" 2023, 750ml

This 100% Carignan is crafted by artisan winemaker Xavier Braujou from low-yielding old vines grown on clay-limestone and galets roulés soils in the Hérault. Fermented with native yeasts, the wine aged in older French oak barrels for approximately 12 months, avoiding any new oak to preserve fruit purity and elegance over raw power.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with expressive aromas of black cherry, wild blackberry, and crushed red fruits, combined with sweet spices, liquorice, and fragrant notes of Mediterranean garrigue. The palate is fluid, energetic, and remarkably supple, delivering a vibrant core of berry fruit backed by fine, silky tannins and a crisp mineral acidity. The finish is long and fresh, closing on savory, spicy, and earthy accents.
