Jean Baptiste Jessiaume Maranges Blanc 2023, 750ml

Sourced from sustainably farmed Chardonnay vines situated on steep, south-facing clay-limestone slopes in Maranges. The grapes are gently pressed to preserve fresh aromatics and structural balance. Fermented using indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and seasoned French oak barrels. The wine ages for 10 to 12 months on fine lees in French oak barrels (15% new oak, 85% neutral barrels) with periodic bâtonnage prior to fining and bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of orchard fruit, yellow pear, lemon zest, white floral, subtle toasted almond, and crushed chalk. The palate is dry, energetic, and medium-bodied, delivering a core of citrus and stone fruit balanced by lively acidity and a supple, lightly textured mid-palate. The finish is clean, persistent, and stony.
