This is a limited small-batch release within the annual 8 Year Old Cask Strength series from the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. Produced using lightly peated malt and distilled in traditional copper pot stills, this bottling is matured for 8 years exclusively in 100% ex-Bourbon casks. The distillery utilizes water sourced from Crosshill Loch and employs non-industrial production methods. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.7% without chill-filtration or added color.

Tasting Note:

Aroma: Bright citrus notes of lemon zest and green apple open into sweet scents of vanilla custard, sponge cake, and honeycomb. Subtle earthiness and soft coastal peat smoke hover in the background.

Palate: Rich and oily with initial flavors of tropical fruit, lemon curd, and salted caramel. The mid-palate reveals toasted malt, vanilla pod, white pepper, and a delicate mineral salinity.

Finish: The texture is coating and leads into a long finish of campfire ash, drying oak tannins, lime peel, and a persistent, sweet bourbon-wood warmth.
