Connetable Talbot 2021, 750ml

This blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Merlot is the second wine of Château Talbot, sourced from 110 hectares of gravel-dominant soils over a sandstone bedrock in Saint-Julien. Hand-harvested fruit was carefully sorted and fermented in temperature-controlled wooden and stainless steel vats. The wine aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (15% new oak) prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of fresh cassis, red cherry, tobacco leaf, and subtle pencil lead open on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied, bright, and approachable, offering juicy dark fruit and subtle herbal flavors supported by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. The finish is clean, balanced, and fresh, with lingering notes of dark berries and soft earth.
