Chateau Latour 2016, 750ml

A blend of 92.9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7.1% Merlot sourced exclusively from old vines averaging 60 years of age within the historic "L'Enclos" vineyard in Pauillac, planted on deep gravel over clay-limestone subsoils. Hand-harvested organic and biodynamic fruit was sorted and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels prior to release.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of crushed blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, lilac, and subtle black truffle, complemented by hints of crushed stone and cedar. The palate is full-bodied, dense, and structured, displaying concentrated black fruit and mineral layers framed by firm, super-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is remarkably long, precise, and persistent, with saline and iron-like notes.
