Domaine Rossignol Trapet Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru 2021, 1.5L

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (average over 60 years, 0.7ha) in Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru on thin clay-limestone soils over limestone bedrock. The grapes are hand-harvested, partially destemmed with variable proportion of whole clusters retained depending on vintage, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts after cold maceration with gentle extraction. Aged 18 months in oak barrels using up to 50% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show red cherry and raspberry along with violet and subtle spice notes. The palate delivers finesse and medium body with silky tannic structure and lively acidity. Overall impression is one of refined elegance and persistent clarity reflecting the fresh vintage character in Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir.
