Domaine Rapet Chorey les Beaune Rouge 2023, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines in Chorey-lès-Beaune on marl-limestone soils mixed with alluvium and a stony base with ferruginous elements. The domaine farms organically with hand-harvested grapes. Vinification uses native yeasts with a portion of whole bunches, gentle extraction, and ageing in French oak barrels with approximately 30% new oak.

Tasting Note:

The 2023 opens with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, wild strawberry, rose petal, and earthy mineral notes with subtle woodsmoke and spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied with a bright core of red fruit, silky tannins, lively acidity, fine-grained texture, and a long, fresh, mineral-driven finish. Elegant, transparent, and balanced with good ageing potential.
