Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Macherelles" 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from a single 0.50-hectare east-facing parcel of 35-year-old vines in the Les Macherelles Premier Cru climat in Chassagne-Montrachet on clay-limestone soils. The domaine hand-harvests the grapes, which are gently pressed. The wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels with 25% new oak for 12 months, followed by 6 months in tank.

Tasting Note:

The 2021 opens with aromas of ripe pear, white peach, lemon, hazelnut, white flowers, and subtle toasted oak with mineral notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied with rich yet precise orchard fruit, creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity, fine minerality, and a long, saline, harmonious finish. Generous, classic, and built for ageing.
