Domaine de Belliviere "Premices" Blanc 2023, 750ml

100% Chenin Blanc from young vines (under 50 years old) across multiple parcels in Jasnières / Coteaux du Loir on flinty clay soils over tuffeau (soft limestone). The domaine is certified biodynamic with hand-harvested grapes that are direct-pressed. The juice settles overnight before being moved by gravity into older French oak barrels (5–8 years old) for fermentation with native yeasts. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged in barrel for about 12 months with a touch of residual sugar retained.

Tasting Note:

The 2023 opens with aromas of ripe pear, quince, white peach, lemon, white flowers, and subtle honey with mineral undertones. The palate is vibrant and textured with bright orchard fruit, lively acidity, saline minerality, and a long, refreshing, harmonious finish. Fruit-forward, elegant, and balanced with excellent energy.
