100% Pinot Noir from parcels in Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru. Laurent Roumier farms sustainably, with vines averaging around 40 years of age. Grapes were hand-harvested, sorted, and vinified with a significant proportion of whole clusters (around 70–75%), using native yeasts. The wine was aged for about 16 months in French oak barrels, with approximately 30% new oak, balancing aromatic lift and structural depth.
Tasting Note:
The 2022 Bonnes-Mares is profound and layered, with aromas of raspberry, red cherry, rose petal, and spice, underpinned by mineral notes. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, yet refined, showing dense fruit, fine tannins, and a saline backbone. The finish is long and multidimensional, combining power with finesse.
